Dr. Whitney Nesser is the Associate Dean for Academics in the College of Health and Human Services (https://www.indstate.edu/health/department/academics) and Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Health Sciences. Dr. Nesser received her PhD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Health Education and Health Promotion, her MBA from University of Missouri-Kansas City, and completed a National Cancer Institute postdoctoral fellowship at University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in the Cancer Prevention Research Training Program. Her scholarly activity includes numerous peer-reviewed publications, national and international presentations, and funded grants. She serves as a member on ISU’s Institutional Review Board and on the Advisory Board for the Indiana Cancer Consortium. Dr. Nesser also currently serves as reviewer for journals including Pedagogy in Health Promotion, Health Promotion Practice, and Journal of Community Engagement and Higher Education.
