Dr. Frederica Kramer, Chairperson

I'd like to welcome prospective students, alumni, and friends to the World Wide Web site for the Graduate Programs in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Indiana State University. The department continues an eighty five year tradition of excellence in education. The department offers a comprehensive cadre of Master's level programs to further prepare professionals with baccalaureate degrees for positions in Education, Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Human Development and Family Studies, Textile, Apparel & Merchandising and Interior Design.

Our outstanding graduate faculty is committed to the generation, dissemination and application of knowledge and they are actively involved in research, grantsmanship and service at the local, regional, national and international levels. Their work is supported by numerous internal and externally funded projects - over 1 million dollars in the past five years. With several partnerships linking faculty and students with their professional fields.

I encourage you to find out more about us - our faculty, curriculum, programs and service. We are ready to help you achieve your professional goals. We look forward to welcoming you to our community of scholars.
