The department has participated in the ISU Homecoming Events for over 20 years by having a parade entry each year and an alumni tent set up near the football stadium.

A department Graduation Brunch is given the morning of commencement to honor our graduates and to present outstanding student awards. Parents and friends of the FCS students are invited to this celebration of student accomplishments.

Picnics, field trips, senior shows and many other extracurricular activities round out the student’s experiences as a Family and Consumer Sciences major.
