Family and Consumer Sciences

Dr. Peggy Engelbach

Assistant Professor, Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising

 

Degrees: Ph.D from Ohio State University; M.S. from Montana State University

Expertise and Activity Statement : Dr. Engelbach is an Assistant Professor and Area Coordinator of Textiles, Apparel, and Merchandising in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Indiana State University. Both her graduate degrees are in Textiles and Clothing.  Current research interests include work related to what textile products, fibers, and other products are being recycled into new textile products and what other types of products are being made from these textile fibers as well as determining consumer knowledge about and use of recycled textile fibers and products. Other research interests include care labeling of textile products and the Interest of consumers in making textile products and how fabric stores are meeting consumer's needs for fabrics, notions, and sewing information.
