21st Century Summer Award


Due to changes in eligibility criteria for freshmen 21st Century Scholars, Indiana State University has created a one-time funding opportunity for students who are unable to meet the state's 30 credit hour completion requirement


Eligibility

The student must have met the following requirements:

  • Entered as a new freshman as of Fall 2013;
  • Received a 21st Century Scholarship award for Spring 2014;
  • Earned a 2.0 cumulative GPA at the end of Spring 2014, and lack 6 or fewer credit hours to get to the 30 hour cumulative completion requirement;
  • Enrolled in Summer 1; and
  • Applied for summer aid by submitting a request form to the Financial Aid Office by April 24

Amounts

The amount awarded will cover the cost of tuition up to 6 credit hours and will not exceed tuition charges. This is a one-time award and may only be used for Summer 1, 2014.

Notification and Disbursement

If eligible, the 21st Century Summer Grant will be listed on the student's award notification as well as posted to the MyISU Portal account approximately 5-7 business days after receipt of the Summer Aid Request Form. Funds are applied directly to the student's ISU account approximately 2-3 days before the start of the applicable semester.
