Curriculum Information
Financial Services Major
The Financial Services major consists of 71 credit hours, distributed in three areas:
College of Business professional core requirements (44 credit hours)
Financial Services required core (15 hours)
Elective Track - select one (12 hours)

- Insurance and Risk Management
- Investments
Courses in the Financial Services required core include
- FIN 320 - Introduction to Financial Services
- INS 340 - Insurance and Risk
- MGT 370 - Business and Society (Ethics)
- FIN 333 - Investments
- FIN 440 - Financial Institutions
Financial Service tracks include
- Accounting track - ACCT 301, 302, and 404; plus one accounting elective course.
- Banking track - ECON 321; FIN 400 and 441; plus one banking elective course.
- Insurance track - INS 341, 343, and 432; plus one insurance elective course.
- Investments track - FIN 400, 434, and 435; plus one finance elective course.
Financial Services Minor
The Financial Services minor consists of 15 credit hours and includes the required courses. This minor is only open to College of Business majors.
