Geography

The department offers diverse undergraduate and graduate programs in human and physical geography that emphasizes the use of spatial analysis technologies such as remote sensing/GIS.  Culminating degrees include BA/BS, MA, and PhD.

Geology

The geology program offers degree specialization in traditional and environmentally related fields of geology and oceanography.  The department offers three undergraduate tracks in geology BS and a graduate program leading to an MS degree.

Anthropology

The anthropology program provides a well-rounded education in all of the sub-fields of anthropology including archaeology, biological anthropology, and cultural anthropology.  Culminating degrees included BA/BS.

Research Opportunities

Research opportunities in geography, geology, and anthropology exist at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  The department encourages  interdisciplinary research and maintains collaborative relationships with faculty from other departments as well as with government agencies and private industries.  State-of-the-art equipment within and outside of our department is available for student use.
