Fall 2005                                   Invited participant on a twenty-four hour research cruise onboard R/V Robert Gordon Sproul with Dr. Ron Kauffman (chief scientist) off San Diego, CA

Fall 2005                                   Invited participant on a six-day research cruise onboard R/V Roger Revelle with Dr.Barry Eakins (chief scientist). Was involved in dredging submarine rock samples and mapping of the sea floor off the coast of California
