Graduation Checklist
Read this graduation checklist to stay on track for graduation.
- Completion of Requirements
An application for graduation must be on file
in the College of Graduate and Professional Studies in order to be eligible for a graduation in a specific term. All degree requirements are to be completed prior to the close of the
semester/session the student's degree is to be awarded. If the degree is not awarded, the student must reapply to the
College of Graduate and Professional Studies to be placed in a future graduation term.
- Completion of Course Work
All "incomplete" credits that are necessary for completion of degree requirements must be completed with satisfactory grades and on file in the Office of Registration and Records on or before the close
of the semester/session.
- Transfer Credit
Transfer credits must be on file in the College of Graduate and Professional Studies on or before the
close of the semester/session the student's degree is to be awarded. Official transcripts are required.
- Fees and Delinquencies
All obligations to the University, such as library delinquencies, residence hall fees, and breakage fees, must be met by
the close of the semester/session the student's degree is to be awarded. Diplomas and transcripts will not be released
until all obligations to the University have been met.
Note: In some cases, academic departments may have earlier deadlines than those listed above. Students should
verify requirements and deadlines with their academic advisors. Materials received after deadlines are subject to being
processed the following semester.
