Stephen Kim: Young Virtuoso
Teenager Stephen Kim was front-page news when he appeared in Terre Haute two years ago. Since then he has experienced
repeated triumphs around the country as a young prodgy. He will play Bruch's exciting First Violin Concerto during the concert and will also visit schools and
give master classes in this city he came to love. Schumann's Second Symphony is a powerful tour-de-force of orchestral brilliance that features virtuoso
playing by the string section. Come hear Stephen as he continues his amazing career and experience your THSO at its finest!

Brahms 4 and a Trumpet Concerto
Principal Trumpet and audience favorite Rob Waugh brings to life Hummel's Trumpet Concerto- one of the most beautiful, lively and appealing pieces
written for trumpet and orchestra. Following last season's performance of Karidoyanes Café Neon, David Bowden had so manyt requests for more
from this composer that he immediately scheduled Yerakina, another musical explosion of Greek song and dance. Brahms' Symphony No. 4 is an
acknowledged masterpiece, the last orchestral work of this supremely gifted composer.

Delius:The Walk to Paradise Garden
Hummel: Trumpet Concerto

An Evening of Romantic Music
Plan to celebrate Valentine's Day with the THSO. Revel in the beauty of, perhaps, the most romantic piece ever written,
Rachmaninoff;s Symphony No.2. (This is the source of the beautiful melody, "never gonna fall in love again," which is even richer
and more emotional in the Rachmaninoff original.) Our soloist's gorgeous mezzo-soprano voice is perfect for a variety of love songs,
and we will begin with Gershwin's toe-tapping music from the musical Girl Crazy. It will be a night of romance to remember!

Five by Design and Jazz Great, Richie Cole
By popular demand, Five by Design returns to Terre Haute with an entirely new show including "Almost Like Being in Love," "I Love Lucy,"
"Night and Day," "What a Wonderful World," "Come Fly with Me" and much more. Joined by alto sax legend Richie Cole, the show recalls Richie's work
with Buddy Rich, Lionel Hampton, Doc Severinsen, and the Manhattan Transfer. Wait until you hear him improvise on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show
Theme from his years of working with the famous entertainer.
