turning right on Spruce Street (south of Lincoln Quad) or from Tippecanoe by
turning south on 6th street.
ELIGIBILITY: Eighty passes are available for sale
to all ISU students, staff, and faculty on a first come/first serve basis.
POLICIES
-
The HMSU parking pass is valid in the
University Visitors Lot only and does not eliminate the need for a
University parking hang tag that is required for other lots on campus.
-
It is registered to ONLY the
individual and vehicle listed on the contract.
-
It is NON-TRANSFERRABLE!! (NO ONE IS
ALLOWED TO USE THE PASS EXCEPT FOR THE PASS HOLDER!)
-
Each pass holder will be given a sticker
which must be visibly displayed on the driver side lower left hand side of
windshield at all times. The color of the sticker will change EACH
semester so you must make sure you are displaying the proper sticker for
that semester or you will be subject to a violation ticket. The previous
semester sticker MUST BE REMOVED at the end of the semester.
-
A properly displayed sticker prevents you
from receiving a violation ticket at close and allows you 24 hour access
to the lot. Vehicles without the sticker will receive a violation ticket
at the close of the business day. YOU WILL BE DENIED ACCESS TO THE LOT IF
YOU DO NOT DISPLAY THE PROPER PARKING STICKER.
-
The pass is valid through the last day of
the semester and must be returned on or before that date. Failure to
return the pass on the LAST DAY OF THE SEMESTER will make the holder
ineligible to purchase a pass for the next semester.
- Pass holders who purchase a pass for the Fall semester
can RENEW their pass for the Spring semester. Letters will be sent out
with renewal dates. The renewal policy is for the Spring Semester only.
- Passes can be returned to either the Information Center
on the 1st floor of HMSU or to the parking booth attendant as you leave
the lot for the last time. Look for signs which will be posted on the pass
readers located at the entrance and exit of the lots approximately 3 weeks
prior to the end of the semester for exact dates/times.
- Lost or damaged parking passes or stickers are to be
reported to the Auxiliary Services Manager, 812-237-3818, ASAP. There will
be a $70.00 fee assessed for a replacement pass or sticker. Duplicate
stickers can be issued at no charge if you own more than one car and
provided the proper registration slip for both cars with your name as
owner of both.
- Parking pass holders are not guaranteed a parking spot
in the lot. There will be occasions when the lot fills to capacity or is
otherwise unavailable and the pass holder will need to park in another
area.
- Any changes to your vehicle (whether permanent or
temporary) MUST be reported to the Auxiliary Services Manager at
812-237-3818, as soon as the change occurs.
- Any violations to these policies can revoke holders
parking privileges for the semester in which they occur as well as prevent
holder from purchasing a pass for the next semester.
- Serious violations will be referred to the Student
Judicial Programs for further disciplinary actions.
- No refunds will be given should a violation revoke
holders parking privileges.
- We make every effort possible to inform you about
issues which affect your usage of the pass but do not guarantee you notice
about each and every event that occurs in the lot. It is your
responsibility to read any notices.
- You are paying to park your vehicle in the University
Visitors Lot, M-F on a 24-hr. basis. However, the weekends are FREE
PARKING and therefore, not a part of the Parking Pass Program. There are
times the lot will be RESERVED for an event during the weekend and you
will not be able to park in the lot.
NOTE: Not knowing or remembering the policies will not
excuse you from any consequences that is a result of noncompliance. |
