Groups should be advised that events occurring in HMSU should not be advertised without first having your space reservation confirmed by the HMSU Reservation staff.

In order to show respect and sensitivity for the donors who have made the Student Union facility a reality, please be sure you adhere to the following criteria when advertising your event.
 

The official name of the facility is the Hulman Memorial Student Union or HMSU in abbreviated form.   Events in the Dede Activity Center should also be referred to appropriately as Dede I, Dede II or Dede III, depending upon the location of the activity, and should include "In Hulman Memorial Student Union".  Please note the correct use of upper and lower case letters as well as the use of Roman numerals and not 1, 2, or 3.   Events on the plaza should be advertised as occurring in Dede Plaza.    Events occurring in the Commons should be referred to as the Hulman Memorial Student Union Commons.
