• Must be in good standing with the University and be enrolled for at least six credit hours per semester.
• Preference for work-study applicants but can also hire regular payroll applicants.
• Must be willing to work every other weekend on weekend rotation teams.
• Successful candidates will be required to participate in on-the-job training and attend in-service seminars and scheduling meetings.
• Must pass a campus knowledge test.

Building Manager:

Description:

The Building Manager is responsible for the security of the facility from 4:00 p.m. to 12 midnight, Monday - Friday and 8:00 a.m. - 12 midnight on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. - 12 midnight on Sunday. Academic school year only (no summers).

• This position serves as a public relations agent who welcomes and assists all building guests and occupants.
• They monitor and support the programs/activities in the Student Union to ensure their success.
• The Building Manager identifies and resolves any situations which might endanger the customer's safety or Union policies and procedures.
• They are responsible for locking/unlocking rooms and assisting with room setups.
• They regularly patrol  the building for safety and security reasons and police the building's bulletin boards.
• This position provides staff relief to the Information Center
• They work on a rotating weekend team and average 4 -12 hours per week.   

Qualifications:

Preference is given to students with previous supervisory, audio - visual, public relations and /or cash handling experience. Preference is also given to majors in Business Management, Safety Management, Criminology, or Public Relations.

Information Center Associate:

Description:

• The IC Associate responds to questions concerning phone numbers, addresses, University services, activities, and administrative processes.
• They direct building traffic and provide assistance to guests.
• The position maintains resource materials for campus guests and issues equipment such as periodicals, and jumper cables.
• They are responsible for sorting all mail and packages received for occupants of the Student Union.
• They give refunds for vending machines on campus.

Qualifications: 

Preference is given to students with previous receptionist, sales or other public relations experience and /or majoring in Public Relations, Marketing, or Communication.  Preference is given to students who can demonstrate a knowledge of campus buildings and departments.

Web Developer:

Description:

• The Web Developer maintains and updates the HMSU website, and other related sites under the student union's responsibility.
• Also manages HMSU's TeamPage. The Web Developer edits pictures and other files to ensure functionality across multiple browsers.

Qualifications:

Technology or graphic design majors are preferred. Must have experience with HTML code. Must have understanding and experience with Content Management Systems. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is required.

Videographer:

Description:

• The student videographer is responsible for filming events, simulations, and interviews to post online.
• They are responsible for developing ideas to promote HMSU to students, faculty, and staff by utilizing video and digital photos. must film activities, edit and produce video, and format it to post online. Maintains video on social networks and promotes programs and events. Also films training sessions and maintains them on HMSU TeamPage.

Qualifications:

High School diploma and enrollment in ISU degree program. Demonstrated experience with filming and video editing software. Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of video editing programs. Strong written and oral communication skills with a good command of the English language. Good organizational skills and a strong work ethic.

Graphic Designer:

Description:

• The Graphic Designer assists with creating marketing material to be used in the promotion of the Student Union.
• They create and produce promotional materials for services and amenities of HMSU. Also, they work with the web developer to produce photos for the HMSU website.

Qualifications:

High School diploma and enrollment in ISU degree program. Graphic Design majors are preferred. Must have experience with Adobe suite, and previous demonstrated graphic design experience (must show portfolio)

Facility Assistant:

Description:

• Assists in maintaining the facility through cleanliness, safety of occupants and building, customer service, and audio visual assistance.
• Duties mainly include cleaning and event setups.

Qualifications:

Full time student at ISU with 12 credit hours or more. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to interpret written and oral instructions. Must attend mandatory training on blood borne pathogens and MSDS.

Student Receptionist:

Description:

• The Student Receptionist assists the HMSU Administrative Offices with receptionist duties.
• They will greet guests, answer multi-line phones, make copies, distribute paperwork and shred as necessary, along with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School diploma and enrollment in ISU degree program. Must have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite. Must have excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills, and must be able to multi-task and follow directions.
