Marilyn Bisch, Honors and Classical Studies teacher, would like to invite you to join her on the second Saturday each month to walk through Terre Haute and explore some of its history and culture. All strolls begin at 11:00am in the HMSU Food Court (meet inside the fountain-side entrance by Einstein Bros Bagels) and conclude by 2:00pm. They are free and open to all Honors Program students, staff, faculty, and friends. Dress is smart casual. ISU apparel is always appropriate. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Come along to learn about fine art and architecture in Terre Haute and sample some fine chili for a good cause. Visits to the ISU Art Gallery and the Swope Art Museum, plus a look at outstanding architecture and public art on campus and in downtown Terre Haute. We end with a visit to the Altrusa Chili Cookoff, a fundraiser supporting literacy programs in our town. If you have family in town for Family Day, they are most welcome to join us.
Our Stroll will follow the path of the old Wabash and Erie Canal through campus to the Old Indian Orchard and down the Wabash river bluff in an exploration of the early history of Terre Haute, a love story, and some spooky tales.
Explore churches near campus as well as the Terre Haute Children’s Museum (science for children of all ages) and the Clabber Girl Museum.
