Course Description

This course will be a guide in your discovery of science principles which form the basis of music as well as the foundation upon which musical instruments are designed. This course will involve 10 elements.

  1. Introduction of basic physics principles
  2. Applying these principles to music and musical instruments
  3. String Instruments
  4. Brass Instruments
  5. Woodwind Instruments
  6. Keyboard Instruments
  7. Percussion Instruments
  8. The Singing Voice
  9. In depth consideration of selected individual instruments
  10. “Hands-On” discoveries
