trip to england: March 2-11, 2012

Spring 2012

trip Description

In addition to learning about the fascinating people, events, and culture of the Middle Ages in the classroom of next spring's GH 301: Medieval Chivalry and Courtly Love, students enrolled in the course will also have the option of following up those discoveries in more detail by visiting England for ten days during Spring Break (March 2-11, 2012).  We will team up with Professor Steven Stofferahn's HIST 353 (Medieval Europe)  students to pay homage at a wealth of medieval sites, including Canterbury Cathedral, Temple Church, Westminster Abbey, Parliament, the Tower of London, Trafalgar Square, the British Museum, and William Marshal’s Chepstow Castle.  Plenty of free time will be set aside as well, particularly for evening events.  So if it’s a bit of British adventure you fancy, please give this some thought.  The approximate cost will be $2900.
