gh 301V: critical studies of the holocaust

Spring 2010

course description

This seminar will explore how Americans have learned about the Holocaust and why Holocaust study continues to be important in the U.S.  What questions continue to consume us?  What do we seek to answer in our study of the Holocaust?  Course includes trips to the Spertus Museum, Chicago; CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center, Terre Haute; and an optional trip to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington, D.C.

Instructor: dr. N. ann rider

Dr. N. Ann Rider is Associate Professor of German and Women’s Studies.  She is an affiliate faculty member and advisor for the International Studies Program and campus representative for the US Fulbright Grant Program for students.  She teaches German language and culture, Holocaust courses, and courses in the Women’s Studies Program.
