What are your career goals, and why?

I would like to become a physical therapist because I enjoy helping people.  My dream job would be to work with a professional athletic team as their athletic trainer and physical therapist!

What hobbies or interests do you have?

I am involved with the honors council, I am on the dance team here at ISU (you can see me at football and basketball home games! :D), athletic training student association, Alpha Lambda Delta (honors fraternity),I am the webmaster of Chi Omega Fraternity, and I work in the Controller’s office during the summer.

What other leadership roles do you have and/or what else are you involved with on campus or in the local community?

I really enjoy dancing and participating in intramurals such as slow-pitch softball, dodge ball, flag-football, and soccer.

What was your favorite Honors class so far, and why?

My favorite class so far has been GH101: Love From the Bourgeois to Modern. It was interesting because I was able to gain a different perspective regarding love as it relates to time period.

What do you like most about being an Honors student?

I enjoy the support network that being an honors student allows, priority registration is amazing, honors classes are varied and really interesting, and getting to know people who enjoy what you enjoy.

What advice do you have for first-year Honors students about easing the transition from home to ISU?

I’m from Terre Haute so I didn’t have too much to worry about but I did bring a lot of pictures of my friends and family with me.  I also make time to talk or visit with them. Skype is an amazing invention that should be utilized!

What advice do you have for first-year Honors students about time management?

I keep an agenda and write down all my activities so I don’t forget what is due or when I’m supposed to be somewhere.  When you get involved on campus it’s really easy to forget all the fun things you signed up to do :)

What advice do you have for first-year Honors students about dealing with stress?

The rec center has an awesome pool and hot-tub! I go there to relax and de-stress.  Also remember that it is important that you have “YOU” time.  Making time for yourself can help you avoid stress.

What other general advice do you have for first-year Honors students?

Have fun! College is a great place to meet new friends and find activities that you love to do. Academics are important but remember to become well-rounded :D
