Survival of the environment
is one of the world's most pressing problems and greatest concerns. Public
demand for answers is increasingly resulting in a need for more and better
educated environmental health professionals.
Indiana
State University offers you the only Environmental Health Sciences Program
in Indiana accredited by the
National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council
since 1976. Our program provides you with the education and training needed
to:
- Work to prevent,
reduce, and eliminate health and safety environmental hazards
- Prevent and control
food, septic, vector, air, water, and soil pollution
- Deal with industrial
hygiene issues affecting work place safety and the environment

The Curriculum
ISU's
environmental health sciences major uses an interdisciplinary approach to
provide you with needed scientific and applied knowledge. The 60-61 credit
hour curriculum prepares you with the skills to identify and solve
environmental problems while gaining an understanding of the role the
environment plays in world economics, government, and society. Among the
subjects you will study are:

of your environmental health science major you are also required to complete
