Students should be thoroughly familiar with the requirements for admission to the Teacher Education Program and the teaching curriculum. Refer to the School of Education and the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Media Technology in the University Home Page.

This major may be added to the Senior High-Junior High/Middle School Instructional License; its coverage is grades 5-12.

Health-Safety courses: 111--3hrs.; 211--2 hrs.; 211L--1hr.; 221--3hrs.; 313--3hrs.; 323--3hrs.; 340--3hrs.; 401--1hr.; 402--1hr.; 403--1hr.; 404--1hr.; 405--1hr.; 406--1hr.; 480--3hrs.

Electives: 6 hours from 300/400 level courses in Health and Safety other than those required with the School Health Education major.

Foundation courses: Life Sciences 231, 231L, 241, and 241L or Attr 210 and PE 220 are required prerequisites on this program.

Required Professional Education: HLTH 392--3 hrs. is required in the Senior High-Junior High/Middle School Professional Education sequence described in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Media Technology.
