Nonprofit youth and human service agencies play a vital role in the development of our society. To fulfill their missions, these organizations need dedicated, trained professionals with the desire and ability to make a difference in their community and the lives of others.
A career in youth and human service management rewards not only you, but also your community. As a nonprofit professional, you will reap emotional and financial rewards while making a difference in society.
Each year our nation's nonprofits need 50,000 entry-level professionals to fill staff vacancies. Unfortunately, an adequate pool of diverse, competent candidates does not yet exist. How would you like to have an edge on the job market? A little something extra to put you over the top? The answer is quite simple...
American Humanics, a national organization dedicated to preparing students for careers in nonprofit youth and human service agencies. The American Humanics program at Indiana State University is an interdisciplinary program designed to provide students from a variety of disciplines for meaningful careers in the management of nonprofit agencies. Students who enroll in the program work toward certification from American Humanics by meeting a variety of curricular and co-curricular requirements.
Students may nearly combine their work towards American Humanics
certification and a minor in recreation management and youth leadership.
Interested students can request additional information by contacting
