Indiana State University was founded in 1865 as a school for the preparation of teachers. Today, we're much more than that. We still turn out excellent teachers and school administrators. Our graduates are also leading the way in the areas such as insurance, aerospace, packaging technology and the sciences.
Indiana State is committed to providing tomorrow's leaders and innovators the valuable hands-on research, lab, and field experiences they need to succeed.
The University is governed by 9-member Board of Trustees, appointed by the Governor. This Board makes all important decisions regarding the university,
especially pay decisions. Workers are employees of the University, not the State. |
