After School Alliance: is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of after school programs and advocating for quality, affordable programs for all children.
Americorps: This web site has information on how to start an Americorps program in your community. Americorps is basically the domestic Peace Corps.
Elks of the USA: Use this site to locate your local Elk's Lodge.
Freedom Corps: serves as a coordinating council housed at the White House to strengthen our culture of service and help find opportunities for every American to start volunteering.
Kiwanis International: Use this site to locate your local Kiwanis club. Service organizations can be excellent collaborative partners.
Lion's International: Use this site to locate your local Lion's club.
Rails to Trails Conservancy: strives to enrich America's communities and countryside by creating a nationwide network of public trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Many rural communities in Illinois along abandoned railroad right-of-ways are completing rails to trail projects. This is especially true from communities that were formerly served by the Illinois Central.
Rotary International: Use this site to locate your local Rotary club.
Terra-Fly: This web site allows you to access aerial-view images of land around the country. The images are completely free! Aerial photographs can be helpful in community planning and site design for new parks and recreation facilities.
