Field Trips
Chicago
Each semester there is at least one all-day field trip to Chicago, a major design center ranked by the AIA as the most important city in America for architecture.
Transportation is via charter coach bus, at a cost of approximately $45 per student. The bus leaves around 6am and arrives back to campus around midnight, making it a full day!
Recent trips have included tours of interiors by Rem Koolhaas, Mies van der Rohe, and Frank Gehry; trade showrooms at the Merchandise Mart, prominent design firms includingPerkins & Will and Hammond Beeby Rupert Ainge; and world class museums including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
