Welcome to the Office of International Programs and Services.
I am delighted that you are
visiting us; as a member of the Sycamore family or just looking to join
our community. Our office is excited to extend you a warm welcome by
offering you assistance in a variety of ways.
Have you had questions about the ISU community and how you fit in? If
the answer is yes, please let me help you navigate your way to an
answer.
Our people are here to help, so please contact us with your questions
concerning enrollment, admissions, credentialing,
issues related to coming as a visiting faculty member,
immigration policies related to your activities on campus, study abroad,
faculty travel, faculty-led student travel, or the support of global
business engagement. Associate Director
Mr. El-Houcin Chaqra,
Assistant Director, Ms. Maria
Chaqra, as well as Student Advisor,
Ms. Pam Tabor are available
to help with your credentialing or immigration questions. Mr. Chaqra
also works with faculty travel grants and reviews international
memoranda of understanding documents (MOUs) between Indiana State
University and organizations from around the world.
Ms. Janis Halpern directs
our study abroad program making the world available to Indiana State
University graduate and undergraduate students. She also helps provide
resources for short –term, faculty-led student travel experiences.
Associate Director, Mr.
Zachariah Mathew advises and supports efforts by international
students on campus as well as supports visiting faculty and students
groups. Administrative Assistant,
Ms. Christine Knight
provides budget and clerical support for all of our programs in the
Office of International Programs and Services. I am also here to assist
