Workshops

In addition to orientation sessions, IPS offers a variety of workshops for students, scholars and faculty during the course of each academic semester.  The purpose of these workshops is to promote understanding and awareness of cultural, educational, immigration, and other issues.  Announcements about upcoming workshops will be made at the beginning of each semester.

Examples of student workshops are:  Immigration Regulations for International Students, Optional and Curricular Practical Training, Adapting to U.S. Culture, The U.S. Educational System, Driving in the U.S., and Banking in the U.S.  Workshops for faculty and academic advisors include Understanding International Student Immigration Regulations, and Helping International Student Succeed in the Classroom.
