Indiana State University Celebrates Founders' Day on Jan. 26
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The accomplishments of Indiana State University Music department will be celebrated during the 80th Annual Founders' Day ceremonies at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 26 in the Heritage Lounge and Ballroom.
Chairperson Todd Sullivan, faculty member Thomas Potter and emeriti professor George Graesch will each speak about the accomplishments of the department through the years.
The traditional book and torch ceremony will follow.
Founders' Day ceremonies are free and open to the public. A reception will follow in the Heritage Ballroom. Please call (812) 237-3707 to RSVP for the program and reception.
An annual event, Founders' Day celebrates the founding of the University as Indiana State Normal School in 1865 (opened in 1870).
