ISU president to discuss business incubator
Who: Indiana State University President Lloyd W. Benjamin
What: "Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick"
When: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, WTHI-TV (and other times, as listed below)
Where: Statewide television broadcast
Why: President Benjamin will appear this weekend on "Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick" to discuss the university's business incubator partnership with Rose-Hulman Ventures. The project builds on the "INmigration" initiative in which Indiana State and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology seek out entrepreneurial alumni in an effort to attract new, innovative businesses to west-central Indiana. The program airs at 11 a.m. Saturday on WTHI-TV (Channel 10) in Terre Haute. ¡
Recently, ISU was notified by the Indiana congressional delegation that another $1.5 million has been secured for downtown Terre Haute. Part of this funding will go to the university's Center for New Business Development at 22 N. Fifth St.
Since fiscal year 2002, Indiana State University has secured more than $13 million in economic development funding for Terre Haute and western Indiana. The commitment from the federal government would not be possible without the support of the Indiana congressional delegation, the Indiana General Assembly, and the City of Terre Haute.
"Inside Indiana Business" airs on other area stations at the following times:
- 3:30 p.m. Saturday, WTIU (30), Bloomington
- 5:30 p.m. Saturday, WVUB (22), Vincennes
