Dr. Smidley holds a Doctorate from the Department of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Studies at Indiana University. He is a member of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and the Indiana Park and Recreation Association (IPRA). Dr. Smidley has consulted extensively in the areas of recreation facilities and swimming pool management and is the Director of the Center for Recreation Management.
