The Leadership Consortium is awarding mini grants of up to $1000 to support student leadership development. These grants are provided to faculty and Staff who are willing to implement leadership in the classroom or for new co-curricular initiatives focused on leadership instruction in non-classroom settings.
Grants may be used to
Design and implement a Leadership experiential learning experience for students
Provide resources and opportunity to utilize leadership through community engagement and experiential learning
Articulate tools of leadership
Mini grants will be awarded in the amount of $1000
and are available to assist individual faculty and staff in the
developing leadership experiences to promote student leadership
development. Experiential learning and community engagement activities
will be given greater priority in awarding funds. Applicants may
participate in as many projects as desired but may serve as principal
investigator (PI) on only one proposal per funding period. If there are
multiple submissions from one department, then the department chair may
be asked to prioritize them.
Funds may be used to
Support student involvement in meaningful leadership or
creative leadership activities.
Support department members for professional development
and acquisition of teaching materials related to
leadership
Prepare curricular materials
Provide training and technical assistance
Assist in speakers, experiential learning or community
engagement in relation to leadership development
Funds
can be used creatively and not strictly class based
