Learning Objectives
As a result of their experience with Leadership ISU, participants will be able to:
- Articulate the University’s mission and values and apply these to their work.
- Articulate appropriate and effective leadership principles and apply these to their work.
- Describe their own leadership styles, strengths, and challenges within a broad understanding
of leadership theory and practice.
- Develop expanded relational connections with ISU colleagues.
- Articulate appropriate and effective management principles and apply these to their work
(ex.: how to read and apply budgets).
- Demonstrate understanding of Indiana State University structures, functions, and contexts
and how those translate to their work within the University.
- Demonstrate understanding of higher education structures, functions, and contexts and how
those translate to their work within higher education (ex.: funding, governance, legislation,
state agencies).
- Create short-term and long-term career goals.
