Admission Criteria
MUST HAVE the following
- Access to a computer and be able to create, submit,
and retrieve documents and documentation electronically
- Active LPN/LVN licensure
- Successful completion of an approved information
technology literacy course
- Continual compliance (whether in nursing courses or
not) throughout LPN-BS track with
- unrestricted LPN/LVN licensure
- CPR certification
- proof of negative TB status
- professional liability insurance

- annual bloodborne pathogen training
- Step 1 - Unconditional admission to
the University as a degree-seeking student
- Step 2 - Pre-Admission Testing for
nursing -
TEAS Exam
- Step 3 - Successful
department credit by examination (

- NURS 106 - Mental Health Aspects of
Nursing
- NURS 224 - Nursing Care of Adults I
- NURS 328 - Nursing Care of the Child

- Failure of both courses
- Step 7 - Formal admission into the
LPN-BS Track of the baccalaureate nursing program
- Meet admission requirements and
remain in compliance
- Successfully complete NURS 208
- Licensure as LPN/LVN is verified
- If results are not
known until after the
start of the semester or
if the applicant has
failed the licensing
examination, the
applicant would be
required to drop the
nursing course in which
he or she is enrolled
and be placed into
Foundational Studies
courses only.
