"The adult classes provided the opportunity to share ideas and experiences with other professionals and potential leaders within the Wabash Valley. The program uncovered political, religious, and social challenges, and revealed leadership opportunities that I was not aware existed. I am currently on the Board of Leadership Wabash Valley because I believe in and support this organization as it identifies and develops new energetic leaders who can bring new visions, ideas and solutions to our developing community. Leadership Wabash Valley introduces emerging leaders to existing leaders, exposes the participants to the broad impact upon our communities of the private, public and non-profit sectors and reinforces that it is our responsibility to make our communities places in which we want to work, play and raise our families. Leadership Terre Haute, as it was then known, has had a tremendous impact upon my life. It helped to shape my current career, it provided me exposure to our community's leadership and, most importantly, through LTH, I have built friendships that have lasted ever since Class 10. Beth Tevlin, Class 10 Executive Director Wabash Valley Community Foundation
Leadership Terre Haute was a very effective vehicle for me to learn about our community’s institutions and leaders. Working closely with my classmates, I not only gained knowledge of my community, but also benefited from the diversity of perspectives represented in the class and made real connections that have allowed me to move forward in working with and for our community. It was an incredibly enjoyable and productive experience. John Conant, Class 10 Professor Economics Director of the Terre Haute Center for Economic Education,
