The goals of the conference are to provide opportunities for professional development through continuing education, to share effective programs, services, techniques, and other innovations in college health, and to provide an opportunity for networking with other professionals in the field.

  • Indianapolis is the 13th largest city in the United States. It is the only major city not on a River.

  • The Indianapolis expressway, 465, is approximately 53 miles in circumference.

  • The Indianapolis 500 is the largest single day sporting event in the world.

  • The first Indianapolis 500 was held on May 30, 1911 and won by Ray Harroun, with an average speed of 74.59 mph.

  • Indiana is called Crossroads of America due to the fact Indianapolis has the most interstate legs in the U.S.

  • The Indianapolis Zoo houses over 4,000 animals and is home to the state’s largest aquarium.  It also has the country’s firs totally submerged, underwater dolphin viewing dome.

  • Indianapolis has the largest children’s museum in the world – The Children’s museum of Indianapolis.

  • The NCAA Hall of Champions (Hall of Fame for college athletics) is located in Indianapolis.

  • The national headquarters of the American Legion is located in Indianapolis. It is also the headquarters for over 26 fraternities.
