McNair Graduate Opportunity Program

 

Main Program Application
The McNair Graduate Opportunity Program is now seeking new scholars. All of the application materials are below and can be filled out using Microsoft Word and then printed off.

Below is the process for completing and submitting your McNair application.
  1. Download, read, print, and sign the Information Letter - Download
  2. Download, read, print, and sign the Requirements & Authorization Form - Download
  3. Main Application
    • Download Application - *Download
    • Fill in all fields
    • Print Document
  4. Download, read, write, and print the Personal Statement - Download
  5. Program of Study
    • Download Program of Study form - *Download
    • Work with academic advisor or department chair to fill in all fields
    • Print Document
    • Have advisor or department chair sign the form
  6. Attach parts 1-5 and bring to the McNair Offices in Dreiser Hall #201.
  7. Two Letters of Recommendation
    • Download Recommendation form - *Download
    • Fill out applicant section
    • Save document as a Word Macro-Enabled Document by going to "File," "Save As," go to "Save as type," select "Word Macro-Enabled Document," and click "Save."
    • Send recommender the file and ask them to fill it out and write a letter of recommendation for you.
    • Recommenders should send form and letter via email to Kristi.Barley@indstate.edu or brought to Dreiser Hall #201.
    • Repeat process for second recommender.
*Word Document files require use of Microsoft Word 2007 or 2010. Word: Mac does not fully support all form fields in these documents; therefore, if you have a Mac computer, please use a Windows computer to complete these forms.
