Scholar Biography:
I am a senior majoring in psychology with a minor in women studies. After I graduate in May of 2010 from ISU, I plan on continuing my education to obtain a Master*s in Clinical Psychology and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in eating disorders and abuse. I am very grateful for having the opportunity to be in the McNair Graduate Opportunities Program. This program will allow me to increase my knowledge in scholarly research as well as prepare me for graduate school.
My research interests are in eating disorders, abuse, and the foster care system. I am hoping to do a study while in the McNair Program this summer looking at the use of meditation in treating eating disorders.
