By being a first generation college student I have had the opportunity to
explore several fields that some may only think about. I am a Resident
Assistant, a mentor for incoming freshman in the Academic Opportunity Program.
I am a junior majoring in legal studies. After graduation I plan to attend law
school and get my Ph.D in Middle Eastern studies. I hope to attend University
of Chicago or Washington University. I appreciate the opportunity to be a part
of the McNair Graduate Opportunity program as it will help me increase my
knowledge regarding research while preparing me for graduate school.
