| The backbone of American society is industry: specifically, the basic industries of manufacturing and construction. Each of these continuously changing industries is necessary to ensure the continued economic growth of the society. The production of goods; the construction of buildings, roads, and bridges; and the communication of ideas are the very foundation of society. While each of these fields has individual needs, they all have one thing in common: the requirement for skilled professionals trained to manage both workers and machines. Undergraduates can choose from four majors: Computer Integrated Manufacturing Technology, Construction Management, Industrial Supervision, and Manufacturing Technology.
