Music Scholarships
Scholarship Name: Arthur D. Hill Scholarship
Description: The Arthur D. Hill Scholarship was established
in 1986 by friends, colleagues, former students and family of Arthur
DeWitt Hill. Mr. Hill earned both the bachelorÍs and masterÍs degrees
from Indiana State Teachers College. He served as Chairman of The
Department of Music from 1940 until his retirement in 1964.
Open To: undergraduate students
Selection Criteria: The scholarship is open to music students
with outstanding knowledge, interest, and ability related to either
string instruments or music education.
Award Amount: : $400.00 to $1,000.00
Number of Awards Given Annually: 1
How to Apply: The scholarship is awarded based on the audition
and/or performance record in addition to other established criteria.
