Music Scholarships
Scholarship Name: Minerva Pepinsky Memorial Scholarship
Description: The Minerva Pepinsky Memorial Scholarship is
made possible through an endowment established by Dr. Joseph S.
Schick, ISU retired professor of English, who died February 1987,
in memory of his friend, Minerva Pepinsky, whose entire life was
devoted to music as a concert singer, educator, and historian. For
many years Ms. Pepinsky served as an Associate Professor of Music
at Northern Illinois University.
Open To: undergraduate students
Selection Criteria: The scholarship is open to a music major
in the junior class who shows the greatest promise of contributing
to the world of music as a practicing artist, educator, or historian.
Award Amount: $400.00 to $500.00
Number of Awards Given Annually: 1
