Music Scholarships
Scholarship Name: Special Strings Scholarship
Description: The Special String Scholarship was established
in 1977 for the development of the string program at Indiana State
University. It has continued to be funded with contributions from
faculty, alumni and friends of the ISU Department of Music.
Open To: undergraduate students
Selection Criteria: The scholarship is open to music majors.
Recipients will be required to participate in both orchestra and
a chamber ensemble.
Award Amount: $400.00 to $600.00
Number of Awards Given Annually: 2
How to Apply: The scholarship is awarded based on the audition
and/or performance record in addition to other established criteria.
There is no formal application process.
