Scholarship Name: Lowell Mason Tilson Music Education Memorial

Description: The Lowell Mason Tilson Music Education Memorial
Scholarship was established by relatives and friends of Mr. Tilson.
Mr. Tilson served as chairperson of the ISU Department of Music
for 25 years and was a pioneer of music in the public schools. Tilson
Music Hall in the ISU Tirey Memorial Union is named in his honor.
Open To: undergraduate students
Selection Criteria: The scholarship is open to a music education
major graduating in the upper half of his/her high school class.
The scholarship may be renewed provided the recipient maintains
a GPA of not less than 2.2.
Award Amount: $400.00 to $600.00
Number of Awards Given Annually: 1
