Linda Luebke

Linda Luebke joined the music education faculty of Indiana State University in August 2008. Previous to her appointment, she taught general music in Washington State, and Suzuki method instrumental instruction in the preparatory music department of Holy Names University in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her areas of specialty include elementary and secondary general music and integrated curriculum.

Dr Luebke received her MA in Music Education from Holy Names University in Oakland, CA with an emphasis in string pedagogy and early music. She completed her PhD in Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University, where her dissertation research focused on elementary music leadership and the role of the specialist in communities of practice. She has presented on this topic at both national and international music education conferences.
At ISU, Dr Luebke teaches general music methods, including music in special education, and supervises student teachers.
