Linda Luebke
Linda Luebke joined the music education faculty of Indiana State University in August 2008. Previous to her appointment, she taught in the Puget Sound area of Washington State and in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her areas of specialty include elementary general music, integrated curriculum, and elementary and adult steel drum bands.
Ms Luebke received her MA in Music Education from Holy Names College in Oakland, CA where she specialized in string pedagogy and early music. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. Her research interests include social capital, communities of practice, and their application to music education leadership. She recently presented on this topic at the ISME Music in the Schools-Teacher Education conference in Frascati, Italy in July 2008.
At ISU, Ms Luebke specializes in elementary general music, teaching methods courses and supervising student teachers.
