Music Curriculum
Theory: (MUS) 111-1 hr. and 113-2 hrs.; 112-1hr. and 114-2 hrs.; 211-1 hr. and 312-2 hrs.; 212-1 hr. and 214-2 hrs.
History and Literature: 150-2 hrs.; 151-2 hrs.; 350-2 hrs.; 351-2 hrs.
Other Basic Musicianship courses: 204- 1 hr.
Secondary Piano: (MUS) 195- 1 hr.: 196- 1 hr. (Piano and organ principles are excused from this requirement but must take 2 additional hours of music electives.)
Performance (6 semesters): 4 hours of (MUS) 272-1 hr.; 2 hours of 472-1 hr.
Ensembles: 2 hrs. from (MUS) 217-417, 219-419, 259-459, 269S-469S, or 269W-469W-1 hr.; plus two additional elective hours in ensembles.
Music Industry courses: 207-3 hrs.; 307-3 hrs.
Professional Practice: (MUS) 499-6 hrs.
Music Electives: 7 hours chosen from an approved list available from the music advisor.
Merchandising Concentration
Required Courses: Accounting (ACCT) 200-3 hrs.; Economics(ECON) 200-3 hrs.; Economics 201-3 hrs.; Management (MCMI)301-3 hrs.; Marketing 301-3 hrs.; Marketing 332-3 hrs.; Marketing 334-3 hrs; marketing 353-3 hrs.; plus one of the three following combinations in Marketing: 334-3 hrs. and 444-3 hrs., 345-3 hrs, and 347-3 hrs., or 344-3 hrs. and 347-3 hrs.
Business Administration Concentration
