The American Democracy Project is sponsoring a panel on the Global Community and Terre Haute today (Wednesday, Jan. 30) from 7-8:30 p.m. at Cunningham Memorial Library's Events Area in conjunction with the College of Arts and Sciences Community Semester Series. Panelists will discuss the social, cultural and economic impact of the international presence in Terre Haute, as well as their own experiences and perspectives on the diversification of the community. The panelists include:
Mr. Steve Witt, President of the Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation;
Mr. Fred Nation, President of the Wabash Valley Community Foundation;
Mrs. Phyng Ly, Owner of Asian Market;
Ms. Siham Leckiri, ISU PhD student;
Mr. Balaguruprasad Narayanan, ISU PhD student
The event is cosponsored by the Center for Global Engagement and is open to the public.
