Featured on the program will be the Wind Orchestra, under the direction of John Boyd; and Marching Sycamores, directed by Randy Mitchell with the assistance of graduate conductors Kevin Swift and Eric Drew.
The Wind Orchestra will take the stage first to perform Antonio Rosetti’s “Pathia in D,†“Concerto for Euphonium†by David Gillingham, Fergal Carroll’s “Winter Dances,†and two works by Dimitri Shostakovich, “Symphony No. 5 - Finale†and “Galop.â€
The Marching Sycamores will perform traditional selections such as “March On,†“Wabash Cannonball†and “Cheer for the Blue and White†in addition to popular selections such as “Frankenstein,†“Maria,†“China Grove†and “1985.â€
Matt Lindley, Lisa Wallyn, and Lisa Thorne serve as drum majors for the Marching Sycamores. Flags and Sparkettes are under the direction of Tamara Schaffer.
Admission is free and open to the public. The ISU chapter of the Kappa Kappa Psi band fraternity will provide a reception following the concert.
