TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Army and Air Force ROTC cadets from Indiana State University will be joined by ROTC cadets from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and Terre Haute North and South Vigo high schools, for a 24- hour vigil at the Vigo County Courthouse to recognize Veterans Day and honor the men and women who have served and are serving in the U.S. military.

The vigil will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, with opening ceremonies, and conclude at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, which is Veterans Day.

In addition, the ISU cadets will be hosting a Veterans Day ceremony at noon on Friday, Nov. 9, on the lawn in front of the Condit House on the ISU campus. Vern Bothwell, an aviation technology instructor in ISU’s College of Technology, will be guest speaker. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in Hulman Memorial Student Union, Dede II. The event, which is open to the public, will last approximately half an hour.
