E-scrap Day provides an opportunity to responsibly recycle computers, monitors, electronic games and equipment replaced by holiday gifts, plus other electronic equipment you no longer want or need.
The event is sponsored by TREES Inc., ISU Recycling Center and Indianapolis Recycle Force.
Items accepted include:
· Computers, keyboards, mice, laptops, integrated circuits, mainframes,
complete monitors,
· Palm Pilots, PDAs, and cables and wiring; hard drives will be
degaussed - data not compromised
· Printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, toner and ink cartridges
· Power supplies, surge protectors, power cables, motors, electronic
wiring, electronic motors, back-up power supply systems
· Cellular phones and telephone systems
· Electronic games, Laserdisc players, Satellite components, VCR/DVD
players
· Metals: aluminum, copper, brass, nickel
· Miscellaneous: microphones, microwaves, typewriters, cash registers

Indiana State University will host an E-Scrap Day event to accept computers and other electronic equipment for recyling from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 12) in a university parking lot at Ninth and Chestnut Streets, across from the Facilities Management Building.
