Bruce Katz Band to perform at ISU March 31

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Bruce Katz Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 31 in the Recital Hall of Indiana State University’s Center for Performing and Fine Arts.

The Bruce Katz Band plays original blues music influenced by New Orleans R&B, soul-jazz and boogie woogie.

Katz has performed and/or recorded with Ronnie Earle and the Broadcasters, Duke Robillard, Little Minton, Jerry Portnoy, John Hammond, Gregg Allman and Bryan Lee. He teaches piano, organ, theory and blues history at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Katz will conduct a presentation on history of the blues at 3:30 p.m. March 31 in the Recital Hall.
